We’ve all felt The Fear. It’s that moment we open our mouths to speak and we realise that everyone’s looking at us, waiting expectantly for something astounding to come out. Our stomachs lurch into our throats and the next crucial moments will determine whether what comes out is a panicked garble, or a sweet, ‘nail-on-the-head’ moment.

Some of us revel in this feeling and others avoid it at all costs, yet mastering The Fear is critical for our success in speaking in public. Ginger “Public Speaking with Wings” training programmes challenge you to   become your brightest and best public speaker, wherever you’re starting from.

Your Presenter's Toolkit

Led by Ginger Director, Sarah Lloyd-Hughes, the first programme in this series of five will teach you the tools of the trade for any presenter to be successful. We challenge your self-awareness and help you to take away the nerves and express yourself with skill and pizzazz. We promise practice and insightful feedback for all participants.

This programme covers the following key areas in a lively and practical way:

* How to use your Body and Vocal qualities to engage and inspire your audience

* Cutting out the basic habits and mistakes that make audiences cringe

* Learning how to use the tools of your trade to make your presentation not only look proficient, but stand out from those around you

* Practicing (yes, everyone!) so that you can get expert feedback on your performance in a supportive environment

* Learning & sharing tips with other session participants.

The group size is a maximum of 16. We keep costs to a minimum and enjoy making our programmes accessible to good causes.

What past participants have said about the programme:

“Sarah was great. I find it very difficult to speak publicly, but she has helped me and given me useful and practical ways to overcome my fears. I learned how the simplest of movements or gestures can create the impression you want to achieve.”
Gemma Moore – Chestnut Tree House

“Sarah was a fantastic Trainer and really focused well on each individual. She made it very personal and useful. Her approach was friendly and informal, so we all enjoyed the day.”
Tracy Bowdery – St Barnabus Children’s Hospice

“I have attended several training workshops in the past. This course ticked all the boxes for me. I loved learning about techniques and putting them into practice, with excellent opportunities for feedback from the course leader and the other course members
Caroline Walsh – Caroline Walsh Events

“Sarah demonstrated the techniques clearly yet subtly and they sink in. I also liked the naughtiness and spice of Ginger! Sarah has certainly been able to put more spice into my presentations.”
Steve Allott – ElectroMind Ltd

“A very affirming and empowering experience.”
Vivienne Little – The Health Foundation

“Lots of energy & useful techniques. I would highly recommend it!”
Laura Salisbury – Amnesty International UK
